    Itinerary

    Day 1

    HEJ STOCKHOLM!

Welcome to Scandinavia! After landing in Stockholm, your private transfer will take you to our hotel in Södermalm, one of the city’s most creative and character-filled neighborhoods. Surrounded by waterfront paths, leafy parks, independent cafés, and galleries, it’s the perfect place to ease into the journey ahead. Once settled, take time to wander the nearby streets, grab a coffee overlooking the water, or simply enjoy your first glimpse of life in the Swedish capital. This evening, we gather for a welcome dinner: first introductions, and that familiar first-night buzz when the trip suddenly becomes real.

    Day 2

    ROYAL STOCKHOLM & FIKA

Today we get properly acquainted with Stockholm, following our local guide from grand waterfront boulevards into the narrow cobbled lanes of Gamla Stan, the city’s medieval heart. We pass the Royal Palace, hear the stories and traditions that have shaped Swedish life and, if timing is on our side, catch the Changing of the Guards. Along the way, we pause for a classic Swedish fika: coffee, cinnamon buns, and local treats. Enjoy a Nordic-style market lunch, then spend the rest of the afternoon however you like. Dive into the Vasa or ABBA Museum, or head out onto Stockholm’s famous archipelago by boat or kayak with thousands of islands on the city’s doorstep: the water is very much part of life here.

    Day 3

    ALL ABOARD FOR COPENHAGEN

Time to swap Sweden for Denmark as we board the train for the 6-hour journey south to Copenhagen, and with scenery like this, we’re in no rush. Forests, lakes, red cottages, and open countryside roll past the window before we cross the spectacular Øresund Bridge, gliding above the sea and straight into Copenhagen. After checking into our hotel, we head back onto the water for a private canal cruise through the city. Colorful waterfront homes, low bridges, and locals hanging out by the water provide the perfect introduction to the Danish capital. Afterwards, we wander through Nyhavn and soak up the city’s atmosphere.

    Day 4

    COPENHAGEN ON TWO WHEELS

The best way to understand Copenhagen is to do what locals do: get on a bike. Joined by a guide, we take to the city’s famously bike-friendly streets, pedalling past royal palaces, colorful houses, green spaces, and some seriously impressive cycling infrastructure while hearing stories of kings, sustainability, and everyday Danish life. Afterwards, it’s free time. Explore Copenhagen’s castles and leafy parks, visit Tivoli Gardens, brave a dip in one of the harbor swimming spots, or simply settle into the city’s relaxed rhythm. Later, we reunite for a multi-course Danish/Nordic dinner showcasing the flavors that make Copenhagen’s food scene so exciting.

    Day 5

    FLYING TO BERGEN

Time to trade canals for fjords. We’ll make our way to Copenhagen Airport for the short 1.5-hour flight to Bergen, dramatically set between mountains, fjords, and the North Atlantic. After landing, we’ll head to the city and settle into our hotel, and then join your tour leader for a trip up Mount Fløyen on the Fløibanen funicular for a panoramic walk above the city. Colorful rooftops, winding waterways, and distant fjords stretch in every direction: Norway isn’t exactly shy about first impressions. Spend the rest of the day exploring Bergen’s seafood spots, cozy local bars, or wherever your curiosity leads.

    Day 6

    FJORDS & A FLOATING SAUNA

A day that’s all about Norway’s wild side. We journey through mountains, waterfalls, and quiet valleys to Hardangerfjord, chosen for its more secluded character and peaceful way of experiencing Norway’s dramatic landscapes. From the village of Øystese, we board a RIB boat and speed across deep blue waters into the Fyksesund branch, where towering cliffs, and tiny settlements feel removed from the modern world. Enjoy a short walk and picnic lunch in this unspoilt slice of nature before returning back to Bergen for a late afternoon dip in a floating sauna. Norwegians are unusually good at this whole life thing.

    Day 7

    FREE DAY!

Today is yours to enjoy Bergen and the surrounding fjord region however you please. You could venture deeper into Norway by doing the famous “Norway in a Nutshell” route, combining the legendary Flåm Railway with a cruise through the UNESCO-protected Nærøyfjord (a long but rewarding day, showcasing some of Scandinavia’s most dramatic scenery). Prefer a slower pace and less travel? Stay in Bergen and explore historic harbor streets, browse Scandinavian design shops, take in the leisurely Løvstien hiking trail, or settle into a waterfront café. However you spend the day, we regroup this evening for a farewell dinner to celebrate our time together.

    Day 8

    HEJDÅ SCANDINAVIA!

Your Scandinavian adventure comes to an end, with your transfer taking you to Bergen Airport for your onward journey home. Over the past week, you’ve wandered Stockholm’s historic streets, embraced the ritual of fika, cycled through Copenhagen, cruised its canals, crossed Scandinavia by rail, and explored Norway’s dramatic fjords by boat, and sauna. But if you’re not quite ready to leave, Bergen makes an excellent jumping-off point for further adventures – more fjords and countless mountain trails are still waiting. Fair warning: Scandinavia has a habit of making return visits feel inevitable.

Our trip starts in Stockholm, Arlanda Airport (ARM), and ends in Bergen, Flesland Airport (BGO). You should organise your own flights accordingly.

Ideally you should arrive at the hotel by 6pm on the first day. This is when we have our welcome meeting and afterwards go for dinner (although if you arrive later it’s fine to catch up).

(Note – we have limited availability of private rooms, these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis).

Can I book pre and/or post accommodation?

Yes, we can book you in for extra days at either our arrival hotel or departure hotel.

This is up to a maximum of 2 days on either side. If for longer, we suggest you book directly with the hotel.

As you book your trip spot through our website, during the checkout process you will be given the option to “add-on” the pre or post accommodation. You can also do this at a later point through our guest portal (you will have access to this after booking).
